The International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, was buzzing with excitement as over 2300 attendees gathered for Greatway Financial’s 9th Annual Convention of Champions from July 26-28. This was our biggest event of the year, bringing together Greatway Agents, Members, Staff, and Guests from all over Canada.
This year, we were thrilled to have John C. Maxwell grace our stage and teach our attendees the makings of a great leader. Everyone was on the edge of their seats as profound ideas were shared by Maxwell. His wisdom and expertise on the subject was undeniable and his charisma was felt no matter where you are seated in the large hall of 2300+ attendees. It was truly an amazing experience for everyone to be taught one of the most prominent figures of professional and personal development today.
The convention kicked off with some groundbreaking insights from Eszylfie Taylor, founder and president of Taylor Insurance and Financial Services. Eszylfie is a true visionary, blending expertise and innovation to serve a broad range of clients with dedication. His leadership and commitment to excellence, demonstrated through The Taylor Method and his contributions to the community, have made him a standout in the global financial advisory arena. As one of our keynote speakers, Eszylfie shared practical tips that our agents found invaluable.
Our fantastic hosts, EVP Joey Amor, BDMs Shay Garcia and Luigi Sanvictores, and our lively Junior hosts—Mari Tejada, Precious Hana Marigmen, Tricia Mate, Justine Buen, and Emil Albania—kept the event vibrant and engaging. Their energy was infectious, making sure that every moment was memorable.

Attendees had the opportunity to gain valuable insights from a diverse range of panels, each offering a unique perspective on the path to success.
The event kicked off with the Rookie of the Year panel, where the top seven rising stars shared their journeys and achievements. Following this, the Loyalty Panel delved into stories of dedication and long-term commitment, illustrating the power of perseverance. The Generational Panel then offered a rich discussion on how different age groups within the organization contribute to its growth and innovation. Additionally, the Antonio Family Panel provided a deeply personal look into the challenges and rewards of persevering, highlighting how they overcame obstacles to build a successful family business.
Collectively, these panels painted a comprehensive picture of the many paths to success, leaving the audience both informed and inspired.

This year, we’re proud to support United Way Centraide Canada as our philanthropy recipient for this year! Unbeknownst to many, Greatway doesn't profit from ticket sales at our events, especially our annual Conventions. Despite this, we stay committed to giving back by donating a portion of ticket sales to a chosen charity each year.
United Way Centraide is all about improving lives and building community by mobilizing collective action to tackle social issues. On the third day, our CEO Marlon Antonio, along with his wife Elsa Antonio, presented a ceremonial cheque of $45,000 CAD to Dan Clement, President and CEO of United Way Centraide Canada. This gesture reflects our ongoing dedication to making a positive impact in our community.
One of the most anticipated highlights of the Convention of Champions is our Awards Night, where we come together to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our attendees. This night is filled with excitement and energy as we recognize and honour those who have shown commitment and dedication. It's a special evening dedicated to celebrating success, inspiring others, and creating lasting memories.
The fashion show was an unforgettable highlight, where attendees proudly walked the runway, showcasing their unique blend of cultural and modern formal attire. It wasn't just a display of fashion—it was a celebration of individuality, style, and the shared joy of coming together in such a memorable way.
